Using the marker with Vuforia

  1. Choose the printed size in millimetres and the number of rows and columns.
  2. Pick a color palette, press “Generate” and download the PNG.
  3. Upload the PNG as an image target in the Vuforia Target Manager and enter the Vuforia width shown next to the preview.
  4. Print the marker at exactly the displayed size, so the tracked scale matches reality.

Why these markers track well

Vuforia rates image targets by the number of distinct corner features. Every grid cell is split diagonally into two triangles of random palette colors, and random circles are drawn on top. This gives many high-contrast corners without repeating patterns.
